Unfortunately the ride is a victim of its own success. There were so many people on it last year that this year they've had to arrange it all with the councils along the way and that sort of malarkey. Also, it's very well organised with little bonus bits along the way.
Teddy, chief tweeder, wanted me to bring some tea cups with me from Bristol, but I'm going via my parents house then on the train. He basically needs to get 4 boxes containing 100 cups and saucers from Bristol to the LDN, then back again. It's basically going to be a car job, but I'm not driving all the way.
He said that if anyone's up for transporting them, they can get on the ride for nowt in return…

It was one of the best days on my bike like ever!
ok it wasnt a race but just great fun hanging around with 400 others looking a bit daft and cycling in the Sun and mayhem of London's city streets. you never get the opportunity to ride these roads without any traffic esp during that time of the day. so ok you had to register and pay a little but it was all def worth it for this pleasure of car free roads. Louise and I will def go in 2011. Might be transporting a little friend with us too by then! oh yeah saw some amazing bikes too. mercian's/bobs/cinelli/quinns etc etc all very resplendent in their original form….
