This is a ride around London dressed in your finest tweed etc. check flickr and lfgss for more info if you haven't heard of it. The next one is happening in March. plenty of time to pick up suitable attire from your local thrift store. i'm thinking it would be cool to get everyone together for a trip up there for the weekend.

As long as I can make it, I can take three people with bikes splitting petrol/parking costs.

G- the Bates belongs on a ride like this. think it may be the 6th. 7th is the velodrome and i'm holding out on dates for the Bath alleycat to fit around these. looks like a busy march. a lift would be just grand G. i can sort out a place to stay in Brick Lane if you need.

Might end up being its first outing! I think I'd probably drive back on the day (I'm tee-totalling for a few months anyway), especially if we're at the velodrome the next day. Consider your space reserved.

cov gdn is nowhere near the 24 hour bagel shop. Brick lane is. though if we rolling with G we'll sleep in our own beds at home.

Maybe she can leave a snail trail on my saddle instead…. come on queenie, you know that British steel makes you wet.

(if only it were Miranda Richardson's queenie….)

I'm tempted more for the bagels than anything else. 24 bagel shop makes the best in the world, even compared to the amazing ones in NYC.

Mmmmm … Baegels

Date confirmed: Saturday 10th April.

I'm afraid I can't make this one – I'll be in Amsterdam with the missus enjoying a chilled out ride around on dutch bikes instead (minus tweed). I'll just have to think about a Bristol tweed run instead sometime.

Also worth noting is that they want people to register for it (WTF?!!!) and registration opens 27th Feb.

The whole registration thing is not exactly in-keeping with the spirit of things is it? It should have just been left totally open for whoever wanted to join (I'm sure many will just do this anyway).
