I have a feeling after tonights episode of trying to leave work early, that I will be playing catch up. The first part if the route would be good to see if possible, thanks!

if you'd like to ride in comfort, Blacks are doing 100% merino wool base layers cheap in the sale. i got two for £44 instead of £110. On-One have merino cycling tops half-price too at the moment and if they're good enough for Cab…….

Fair point on the route, especially if you don't want to get the train back… PJ has suggested a few cut offs so will get it down to ~25 if possible.

Right then, route is as follows:

Up Park Street and out over suspension bridge

Beggar Bush Lane & down Belmont Hill

Bike path to Backwell

Through Claverham to Yatton

Strawberry Line to Nye

Through Puxton and West Hewish

Kewstoke Road along to seafront

It's probably just under 2 miles and less hilly than the original route. Given the abuse my body has had this weekend, it's probably for the best.

If you can't see us, hop on the A370 & follow signs for sea front. We'll be in Decades (behind Dolphin Square) watching the Fanzine 5!

Ed – drop me a PM with your email, I've got a route sheet I can send to you so that you'll not get lost – it'd just be a case of catching up. Will send mobile number too!

Looking overcast but 3 different weather reports say it's going to hold and that we shouldn't get wet. Might be an idea to pack a jacket though just in case ;)

I trust those that were riding home are still out there!? Let us know how you got on. And how many pubs you stopped at…
