It's another legendary seaside ride comin' to you from the G (bitch)
Friday night ride to the seaside fo' shizzle'
Now, a few key points:
ROUTE is about 36 miles, undulating with a couple of hills but nothing major. Is almost entirely on quiet country lanes with potholes, detritus etc. plus some long/steep downhills means it's a good idea to fit a brake
ALL WELCOME – that's all people, and all/any bikes, including unicycles so word to yo momma or anyone else who might be interested
TRAINS BACK – £5.40 gets you back to Brizzle, train times are 21.02, 21.33, 21.53 and 23.11. After that, it's 06.01 or you're riding back.
DIRECTIONS – a route sheet with directions will be provided to all in case it's not possible/feasible to stick together. We might have a fast and a slow group but we'll see what the turn out is like on the night.
6.15 start is FIRM, we've got a way to go so we can't wait around too long. Anyone that needs to catch up, we're heading along the waterfront and over the rivier before going through Ashton Court and Long Ashton so you could probably just meet us at the Ashton Court bottom gate.
Bring lights, and if riding back bring fucking bright lights that'll last a few hours, you'll probably want to remember water bottles (some bikes have funny little bolts on the down tube and seat tube where you can fit a bottle cage…) and some extra snack food
Bring spare tube/tools/pump

i might come along. depends how i am feeling and if it's raining.
i'd like it noted that weston-super-mare during the week is a veritable cesspool of humanity. on a friday night it shifts up a gear; the local troglodytes climb out of the primordial soup and into the pub. it's a bit violent, bleak and rapey.
i'm going to bring my bow and arrow.

Would love to come along but got a ticket for white rabbits at the cooler on friday night. could discover when they kick off as might be able to shoot back maybe? are there really palm trees ,like in your flyer G, in Weston. I have lived in Bristol for over 15 years and never been there and I've heard it can get very tropical?

Yeah, 70 mile round trip is going to be pushing the limits for some people I think, depending on pace of course.
Air of caution to those who are planning to ride the whole thing fixed, it might not be much fun on a track frame in the later stages!
