Heard about the Le Tour Renshaw headbutt? Alleycat level of competiivite spirit there for sure.

Saw this last night. Can't believe they kicked him off though. What else are you gonna do when someone is pushing for your line at 40mph……take yopur hands off the bar?!? I want to see more of this in bike racing.

it's not really even kierin to be honest, they jostle and stuff, but don't really headbutt. it was like an angry ram.

anyway, everyone is totally full of cant; garmin are whining motherfuckers – and all that schtick about 'oooh farrar was on for the win there' is such a crock of shit. he wasn't even in the same race as cavendish, and whenever cavendish is on a hot streak, which is most of the time, farrar may as well be mopping up sloppy seconds. i like garmin, especially david millar, but can't be dealing with the piousness of it all.

american based forums like velonews are so funny, read the comments, they're all 'that nasty man cavendish and his evil henchman renshaw', 'terrible team HTC are such evil riders i have no respect for them'. and basically making up reasons not to like the guy, throwing out all these accusations about his abilities; when essentially it's a massive bowl of totally sour grapes, and a sort of passive impotent rage.

cavendish is amazing. renshaw is amazing, sure he was out of line, but he's still an amazing leadout man. cavendish yesterday kicked from 400 metres, petacchi was nowhere near – farrar hasn't got the measure of ale-jet thus far, so this mythical idea that somehow yesterday he would have steamed round the outside and took it on the line is so funny and so wide of the mark – renshaw did him a favour, by giving him an excuse for being a loser.
