so it's looking like the 27th feb is it. sorry Jezzer but you're in Brazil probably enjoying the Rio carnival. just need to confirm people for checkpoints and a few prizes. i'll release checkpoint info a couple of weeks before the race so you can get an idea of where's where and what's what.

close …. but it's salvador all the way, not rio

Cab- still haven't confirmed date for this yet. it'll probably be late march now. those pesky romantics put a spanner in the works for february. still, it's given me time to add another checkpoint. route is all sorted now. just need some more prizes and we're good to go. waiting on dates for the tweed run so we don't clash.
if anyone would like to help out with checkpoints please let me know.

i'll leave it up to the individual riders. i like the idea of people plotting and planning their routes, not just turning up and riding around like headless chickens. also means people on the checkpoints don't have to wait around for hours for the lost riders. there's gonna be a fair few different ways to get around the course so it'll be interesting to see which is the quickest.

'tumps' are a nice idea. not sure how fixed gear bikes handle a bmx track tho. might give it a go on my fixed mtb. i think they've redone the track recently. not been up there for a few years.

tumps probably a bit much for my fixed gear bike – ridden inexpertly there a few times with only moderate injuries. probably better places for a fg race…
