hi jezz – if weather is good i will be there tomorrow at the start of the cycle path (bath side)

Jason- thanks but matching up 46 chainring with 17 cog will give me 71.1 gear inches – bit pass my confort zone.

PJ- sounds good, you at the jumble? price? thanks

Dif'rent strokes for dif'rent folks and all that – I know of a guy who did London-Edinburgh-London (1400km) on 78″ fixed and others who have done equally ludicrous distances but prefer a gear in the mid 60's. Whatever works for you personally, and to some extent physiologically.

Jason said:JO I have a chainring with a 144BCD. Its a brand new MICHE Primato 44t one and never used. Drop me a PM if you want me to bring it down.

Jason, Did Joao go for this chainring? I might be interested if you still have it? Are you sure it's 44t ? I thought the Miche Primato were only made 46t to 52t ?

Ideally looking for anything in 43t but guessing my chances of finding one are going to be slim.

Adam I do still have it and I have just looked and its a MICHE chain ring with a 144BCD with 48 T. Is that any good? Its also brand new never used.

Thanks Jason. 48t is a bit too much unfortunately. Looking for as near to what I have (42t) but with as many skid patches a possible.. 43t ideally. 48t would be too high gearing for the around town slack bike that it's going on.
