Feb 6th, Noon, outside Mud Dock. Free for sellers to set up, but bring a table, e-z-up, brolly or whatever if you have one.

Be punctual, sale usually only runs about an hour. I got dibs on beach cruiser stuff, but don't worry there's always plenty of old road bike stuff (& MTB if you want).

bump.  planning (unless the weather is awful) on riding over from Bath for this and then heading back to check out the new bike shop (Cadence) – apparently they're selling Fixie Inc bikes, and some of them are rather lovely.

Anyone else going down?

one thing i can confirm about fixie.inc bikes is that they are stupidly expensive.

indeed they are.  furthermore, one thing I can confirm about my wallet is that it is currently empty.  doesn't mean i don't want to go and look at one of these, and preferably ride it too:

Lewis – I got a short mtb stem in my shed.  If I remember, I'll stick it in my bag…

Jezzzer I went into the shop to take a look. Nice looking shop on three floors. They do have Fixie inc bikes and I think they cost about £1,200 for the frame OMG. THey have nice bits in but I feel the more you ask for cool stuff the more they will get in time.

See you at the Bike Jumble guys and girls.

i'm not sure i could ever stoop so low as to ride a bike with 'fixie inc' written on it. fucking douchebags. having a little spuff over paul trackends, ramping up the price by a million pounds with a few arch-hipster components. total rip-off; no shame, capitalist lackeys. when the revolution comes they'll be up near the front of the queue. behind david cameron obviously, who is having his innards ripped out and thrown down the hallway for a pack of dogs to run off with – whilst still attached to his duodenum of course.

get one of these bad boys for £800:

yeah yeah.  i'm not buying anything – got a nice, not-very-hipster, broadly anti-capitalist fixed gear bike already.  doesn't stop me being curious about trying a belt-drive tho…

something about the resize on that Condor photo makes the seatpost look like a ribbed black dildo.  or maybe i left the auto-dildo setting on in my firefox.

I spoke to the Cadence people today, sounded helpfull although they still haven't rung me back and it's nearly my bed time.

I was planning to go there Saturday to buy a rim, so some how might try and combine the Bristol ride/Jumble and Cadence visit, if my knee has decided to work.

chrome has an anti-ad and resize dildo function as standard.

don't know – give them a call or come along on saturday after the jumble.

Ed – might see you there for another blast along the cycle path then.  could always do a different route if your knee is up to some hills….

I was given the Cadence number by johns bikes! They phoned back this morning, very helpfull.

Jez, that sounds good, a different route to the path sounds good. Hopefully the knee should be ok!

Where you gonna be starting from?  Bath again?  Could do cycle path to Bristol, and then something else on the way back to Cadence.

Yeh can start in Bath, that sounds good as probably won't be doing the Bristol ride (if there is one) as want to try and take it easier on the knees this weekend. Give me a text/pm for a time, I will probably park by the cycle path again.
