i've now found a new court to use. just need to run the idea past the youth centre it is attached to. it's in the classic style walled basketball court, complete with chain link fence and graffiti all over the place. proper urban polo at its best.
i still have all the mallets, balls, etc from before so people just need a bike. would like to get an idea how many would be interested in giving this another go. would probably be once a month on a sunday afternoon. may be a small hire charge involved, not sure until i speak with the centre.
so who's down?

going to give that front wheel cover (shown on my getting ready for polo thread) ago on the college laser cutter to make perfect if done correctly would happly make you one for a mallet in return.

Would love to come and play but jut not that into killing my bike and the wheels. Do the disk just stop the spokes getting nailed? As that would be a good start.

Ok… so are people playing polo regularly in Bristol/Bath…? Will there be any polo over Xmas, i'm down from Manchester from the 21st-28th Dec with my polo bike & mallet and up for a bit of polo before i head over to Amsterdam for NYE throw-ins… Sweet!….
Come on guys… let's avoid the shopping crowds & play some festive polo…!!

I am playing Slackers Polo Sessions with the Sustrans guys on Tuesday and Thursday lunchtimes (about 1 ish) down at Dean Lane, there are always enough for a game. The courts there are floodlit and the council have apparently got the lights running but I haven't played at night yet. Am going to try and chase the council up about it this week. PM me closer to the time and I will let you know when we are playing.

Awesome… i'll get in touch closer to the timebe good to play some South West polo… I met some of the Sustrans guys in London at the BFF bike polo tourney, can't remember their names though… My step brother works for Sustrans in Bristol too, but must be in a different office from the guys who play polo because none of them knew him…

Yeah that's the one, play in the Street Hockey/Basketball courts the have there.
The guy you probably met was Rich or Nouveau on here.

I'm dead keen too, I play with the Sustrans group at Dean Lane but would play also in Bath at weekends.
Can't play too much polo in my opinion.

like the sound of a festive event. maybe try get large numbers 3 on 3 tournament. set teams prior or do pick teams when we get there or numbers.
