It’s fast approaching the 2nd annual trackdropouts tunnel sprints event. It’s long overdue but this was just to give some of you time to lick the wounds of last time and get them sprint legs up to the size of Robert Förstemann (if you don’t know who I mean google it)

If you missed the event first time around then this a simple but a fun event were Riders from Bath, Bristol and some even from London raced two at a time in a classic hot rod drag race style through the tunnel (under Stapleton road) on the Bristol to Bath cycle-path.

The great thing about the tunnel is whatever the weather it’s always dry ish inside and it has lights! So with that in mind and the better weather at this time of year Chris Punk and George Sportif are aiming to make more of a night of it with a BBQ, music and prizes (And hopefully another budget trophy.)

This year the crew have been working hard and sorted some prices form the great fixed gear shops that support the grass root events like this. So try you luck at being a winner we have some great kit from:

As with any of the Trackdropouts events you will find a great social event for everyone. So pick up you bike, lights and some beer and come down, just make sure you take you rubbish home. Even if you just want to see what is going on and not race.

Date for the event is Saturday 17th of July. Starting around 10 or 11pm.

That’s right hipsters it’s the 2nd annual Bristol Hillycat event held by the “King of the hill” PJ and the “Prince of darkness” Barney. These guy are trying to kill you with a small race up the lumps and bumps around Bristol. Just like last year but with more riders throwing up, we hope.

PJ’s said “you’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll have a savage abdominal hernia and rectal prolapse at the same time and won’t know whether to laugh or cry” Sound like your sort of fun?……..

If so slap on the big cog or if you are a true hipster get a shop to do it for you and see you at the waterfront cafe gusto, 2pm.

If you have not been to one of the www.trackdropouts.com events before then do come down and say “hi” Everyone is welcome and it’s always good to see new faces. After the day of killing ourselves on hills the crew will heading for a beer or two so come down.

And don’t forget we will have some cake from the cherry on top

As the deadline for boikzmoind gets closer and closer the amount of time filming is going up. And this week has not been any different. Tuesday night saw a large amount of riders and filmers/photographers getting in on the action in the sun. The order of the night was hills. It could be going up them and show how tuff you are, or going down them at mac 10 throwing skids left and right……..or if you are Gary just killing the hill on the way down and beating me (not hard you may say) but I was in the car with no traffic doing 30 mph!

Don’t put it in the chain ring kids!

Well I thought it was about time for an update and what better way than a video shot and edited by forum member Brad Bishop. Check it out turn the sounds up and sit down for about 3 minutes. It’s the first one he has made so enjoy.

Brad has only just got into this but he was looks great. And I’m looking forward to see the rest of the stuff he subits to the end film.

The lads in Bath have been well busy. Since holding the first Alley Cat of the season (Park Life) they have added to the local scene with weekly rides on Thursday nights and now held the first sprint event on the mean streets of Bath!

I am sorry to say that I didn’t get to the event but by all accounts a great time was had by all. The event itself was the simple tried and tested sprint from end of Putney road to the roundabout then back all timed. A total of aprox 750 meters!!! Too far me on a sprint front but the lads had great fun.

Well done to Jezzer and the Bath crew. It looks like they will be running this event again but off the road and to some place a bit safer so riders (PJ this time) don’t have to stop/race with a Bus. So keep an eye out on the forum and here for the next lot of dates and see you at the event.
